With over 40 activity booths this year, SCA’s Fall Fest provided a chance for the community to get together.

Wendy Tate, both resource teacher and SCA co-sponsor, hosted Fall Fest for the first time and helped coordinate set up for the largest number of booth participation in years.

“For me, I look forward to seeing the high school kids interacting with the smaller kids. And, really, seeing the activities makes me wish I took my kids sooner,” said Tate.

The SCA brought back inflatables this year, which were popular with the children. The inflatables had the longest line out of all of the booths.  Theater was one of the many clubs to participate.

“There’s so much entertainment, but it’s also getting that outreach with what we do, not just with theater but with other clubs and activities,” said theater director Claude Blanchard.

Other clubs included Operation Smile, Asian Culture Club, AVID, and Rock Painting Club. Students had the opportunity to play games and win an assortment of prizes. SCA also sold concessions that consisted of drinks, pizza, and snacks.

“It’s really fun to see both the Ocean Lakes High School community and then Ocean Lakes come together for a fun event at the beginning of the year,” said senior Sophia Kuhn.
