This year’s National Honor Society held its blood drive in partnership with the Red Cross.

This past Thursday, many students who met the requirements donated blood in the auditorium. Prior to donation, students had blood samples taken to ensure their hemoglobin levels were in the normal range.

Around 86 students signed up, along with a few walk-ins. The event reached capacity at 12:30 p.m.

“I was really nervous to donate blood, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be,” said senior Isabella Reynolds. “I decided to donate blood because it’s almost Christmas time and I wanted to do something nice for people who need it.”
