Over a thousand high school musicians from all over Virginia auditioned for a spot in the All State Honor Ensembles on Feb. 22.

Sophomore Rachel Owen, clarinet, will perform with the All State Concert Band, and junior Andrew Hammock, viola, earned second chair in the All State Symphony Orchestra.

“We are thrilled to announce that two Ocean Lakes students will represent our music department and school,” said Orchestra Director Karey Sitzler.

On April 23-25, the students will compete in Richmond at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.he students
