Disney’s “The Mandalorian” will air its next season Oct. 30 with much anticipation.

Last year, “The Mandalorian” had an amazing debut as one of the most highly watched T.V. shows in 2019. It had a rating of almost 8/10 on Rotten Tomato, and after the season ended, many people unsubscribed to Disney Plus because all they cared for was The Mandalorian on Star Wars content.

“The Mandalorian” series follows a bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe who is a part of the Mandalorian people. These events take place five years after “Return of the Jedi,” after the empire is defeated and becomes the First Order.

In the first season, the Mandalorian gets a bounty on a very high target that no one has been able to achieve because of the danger of the surrounding area. Eventually, with the help of a droid, the Mandalorian finds the bounty. The bounty was a child that resembles one of Star Wars’ well known Jedi, Yoda. Though told to kill the bounty or bring baby Yoda to the new First Order,  he decides to take care of him and let him live. The show continues to display the Mandalorian make new allies and claim a father-like role to the child. While all this takes place, the viewer learns that baby Yoda has powers resembling the force. They also learn that Moff Gideon, a leader in the First Order, is continually pursuing them with bounty hunters.

At the end of the season, the viewer watches the Mandalorian and his allies escape from Moff Gideon’s grasp. Moff is shot down by the Mandalorian and thought to be dead when he suddenly slices through the TIE fighter with a black lightsaber and the season ends.

Season two of “The Mandalorian” seems to focus on the Mandalorian’s adventure to take baby Yoda to the Jedi. This child has the force-like ability and what makes this so unique, is that the Mandalorian warriors hate the Jedi because the Jedi years ago destroyed most of their people.

Season two is highly anticipated for many reasons, but the main one is baby Yoda. He is one of the greatest marketing ideas that Disney could have come up with for the show. It is not the fact that he is strong or he can use the force. He’s just adorable and the people love that.
