Virginia Beach receives its first snowfall of the year on Jan. 28, 2021. Hampton Roads gets first snow in 1,052 days.

This is the most snow the city has seen since Jan. 4, 2018. About three inches of snow fell over the Hampton Roads area.

“I wish it was a real snow day,” said junior Tim Doughty, who still had to attend virtual school but managed to build a couple of snowmen during lunch.
