Super Mario 3D world re-released for the Nintendo Switch on Feb. 12, 2021, for $60 and includes a new addition known as Bowser’s Fury.

“Before people thought the Bowser’s Fury was going to be like extra levels, but that’s not true. It’s a big open world like Mario Odyssey, just with Super Mario 3D World aspects,” said junior Nic Vadillo.

In the game, a player can choose between Mario 3D World or Bowser’s Fury and switch between the two any time. The 2021 Mario 3D World replicates 2013 original on the Wii-U but with small additions and cooperative features.

Bowser’s Fury has a different 3D style, similar to Mario Odyssey, and features a story that revolves around finding “cat shines” and fighting giant Bowser as giant Mario.

“The design of the enemies is pretty stupid; they just added cat ears and a tail,” said Nic.

It is the first story driven Mario game since “Paper Mario: The Origami King,” released July 17, 2020.

“The Bowser Fury should have been longer and changed the levels a little bit,” said junior Thomas Saffold.
