Both girls and boys cross country teams won regionals on Sat., April 17. The girls broke the record for the most points in a cross country regional meet with Aniya Mosley coming in first, and five members of the team taking third through seventh. The boys also won with Harrison Ladd placing second, Aiden Bolger seventh, and Owen Lipps in 13th.

“I’m really proud of the team,” said junior Austen Heft. “We’ve worked really hard this season, and to win regionals with the best score in school history, was exactly what we needed heading into states.”

Both teams advance to the state meet this Thurs., April 22, at Outlands in Leesburg, VA.

“I am pretty confident about our chances going into states, we have been putting in the work, and no matter the outcome, I’m proud of the work we put into this season,” said senior Harrison Ladd.
