The softball team traveled to take on the Kellam Knights on April 29. After seven innings, the Knights were victorious with a score of 8-3.
Hannah Jones, shortstop, was the first dolphin to get a hit in the top of the fourth inning.  Next at bat, sophomore catcher Ashley Bush rattled off a triple to bring Hannah home.
“Our team captains are our Seniors Hailey, Hannah and Lindsay. Their leadership this year has been absolutely outstanding. Having them in that role has been a huge help already this year,” said head coach Mike Pollock.
On the defensive end, sophomore Caroline Burdsal pitched seven innings with two strikeouts, and sophomore Rachel Monser earned five force outs from center-field.
“Taking every pitch one at a time and focusing on putting the ball in play will put us in the best position to beat Kellam the next time we play them,” said senior first basemen Lindsay Fox.
