The Marching Dolphins congregated on May 1 to perform before family and friends for the last time in 2021.

“Almost none of our band parents and families were able to attend the football game because of the limited capacity in the stadium. Our band families sacrifice so much so that our students can perform at their best and they deserve to see their students perform after over a year of no performances. It was a perfect night to showcase the band and to have all of our supporters together again,” said band director Michael Parker.

The group played several pieces of music from the National Anthem, a Queen medley, “Sweet Caroline,” and finished with the school’s Alma Mater. Shortly after, all seniors were celebrated as their future plans were recited. To close the night, all marching band members were surprised with the reveal of their new uniform.

“I have a bit of a flair for the dramatic and this was quite a big announcement,” said Parker. “It was an exciting way to offer our students a consolation for this last lost year and something to look forward to for next season.”
