Danielle Hart still has heart for volleyball
September 26, 2017
During the 2016 Dolphin volleyball season, 6’3 middle, Danielle Hart, led the team to the state championship. She was named 2016 All-Tidewater girls volleyball Player of the Year, and was an All-State player. She currently is on a full-ride volleyball scholarship at the University of Wisconsin.
Danielle, so far, has had a very busy season.
“I’ve been on campus since June 18th. We prepared for our season with 6 am morning conditioning and lifts,” said Danielle. “Come August, we ran full throttle into preseason. The month of August consisted of two practices a day, followed by meetings and film.”
She has also noticed her improvement on the court.
“I’ve already completely changed the way I block. I’ve been practicing as a middle and a right side hitter. I am currently working on correcting my arm swing by using more of my core and less of my arm,” said Danielle.
Danielle said that she really loved the coach’s philosophy, and how “incredibly gritty, driven, and determined” the gym culture is.
“My coach is hoping to redshirt me this year, but foresees a successful career,” said Danielle. “My time here as a Badger is just getting started. I could not be happier with my decision to be a part of such a competitive program with an incredible fan base.”
