Senior Aniya Mosley committed to a scholarship offer from Ohio State this past week.

“I really like the coaches and the environment, all the people are very sweet there,” said Mosley.

After several years of dedication to running Aniya has committed to an athletic full ride scholarship at Ohio State for track and field as well as cross country.

“It’s the school of one of my idols; Jesse Owens, he’s a runner, and he was one of the first African American runners in the Olympics and he went there. So it’s really cool to be somewhere he was, I really like it,” said Mosley.

Aniya originally ran track for school as early as sixth grade for Corporate Landing Middle School, and here at Ocean Lakes she’s a four year varsity athlete with six school records including the 400 m, the 500 m, the 800 m, the 1000 m, the 4×800 m relay, and the cross country 5k.

“I’m excited about committing to Ohio State,” said Mosley.
