Senior night for the wrestling team was a success, for they beat Kellam High School with an ending score of 34-30.

Described by the team as a hard opponent, Kellam was neck and neck with Ocean Lakes until the very last match when Ocean Lakes came out on top. The fans and team were ecstatic over the very big win, making senior night all the more special for the nine members of the 2022 graduating class.

Senior LJ James expressed his gratitude for the team when asked to reflect on his feelings over his very last high school wrestling season.

“Wrestling has changed my life for the better, especially Coach Barnhart and my teammates. I will be grateful for the rest of my life,” said James.

Their record is 11-3, and their next varsity competition is the 6A Regional Tournament on Feb. 12.
