Halloween will be here soon, so it is time to decide on a costume.

For those who like to be creative, a quick, clever costume idea is “Raining men.” For this costume one will need an umbrella, rain boots, invisible string, tape, and printed pictures of men. First, cut out the pictures of men and punch a hole in the top of all of them. Tie the string through the holes and tape the strings to the inside of the umbrella.
Classic costumes can be fun as well. Take for instance, a hippy. For this costume the materials include peace sign necklaces and earrings, a tie dye shirt, circular lens glasses, and bell bottom jeans. All of these items can be found in the back of your parent’s closet or your own closet. If not, check out the local thrift stores.
Lastly, for those who like to embrace their dark side, try a bloody costume idea with some fake blood to enhance. Materials for this include one cup of corn syrup, a teaspoon or two of cocoa powder, and red food coloring. Mix the one cup of corn syrup and cocoa powder in a bowl. Add drops of the red food coloring and continue stirring until the mixture is a deep red, but is still semi-transparent like blood.
Halloween costumes do not have to be expensive and complex. It does not have to cost a fortune to look good.
