Geology class, up close and personal with rocks
October 26, 2022
The Magnet Geology class, along with two other teachers, Allison Graves and William Isel, took to the mountains for a three-day field trip Oct. 20 to Oct. 22, 2022, to several locations in Virginia.
They went to Humpback Rock, Grand Cavern, Waynesboro, CrabTree Falls, Natural Bridge, Roanoke and McAfee’s Knob.
“In order to learn geology, you have to go see it,” said Laura Eldredge.
The group hiked, camped and explored caves.
“They all had a really fun time and had so much fun,” said Eldredge, who said the students loved everything about the trip.
