The four bands; Beginning Band, Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony, combine on stage to perform ‘Linus and Lucy’ arranged by Sweeny, in tribute to a band student who passed away years ago. The concert took place on Dec. 15 in the Ocean Lakes auditorium.

All four band classes worked together to perform their concert on Dec. 15, 2022. Beginning Band, Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony took turns performing songs largely centered around the holiday themes.

“My favorite piece was definitely Frozen Two,” said junior Caitlin LeBrecque, who plays bass clarinet for the Wind Symphony.

Beginning Band performed two pieces.

Percussion Ensemble also performed two pieces while Symphonic Band performed three pieces and Wind Symphony four pieces. Two seniors conducted pieces in the concert.

At the end of the concert, all four bands combined to perform ‘Linus and Lucy,’ arranged by Michael Sweeny.

“I love coming together as a group to make concerts happen,” said Caitlin.
