Senior Brent Bailey ran five kilometers in 15 minutes and 31 seconds to place first in the state on November 11 in Warrenton, Virginia.
Brent has excelled all season winning multiple meets, which led him to an offer to Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
“It wasn’t easy, but I just raced it like I would any other race and put out my best effort,” said Brent. “Because of this I was confident in my ability to win.”
Brent lead the boys team to third place in States.
“We did good, but we could have done better,” said junior Tyler Lipps.
