The band performed their fall concert on November 15, which marked the first formal performance for band director John Parker.

“He’s got a very different perspective,” said Danielle Martin, who plays the French horn. “It’s a new twist, and I definitely think he’s a keeper for the school.”

The concert started off with a song called Mo Java by Lalo Davila and ended the performance with Armenian Dances by Alfred Reed.

“Both bands really pulled it together in the last couple of weeks, and they went out and performed. I don’t think they just played right notes and right rhythms, but they played music,” said Parker.
