Dolphins soak up the “Summer Night” at prom

Over 400 students gathered at the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center for prom from 7 to 11 p.m. on May 17, 2025. This year’s theme highlighted summer nights.

“Everyone had a really good time,” senior Atharva Vaidya said. “They played really cool music and it was definitely an unforgettable experience.”

Seniors Roman Chapman and Khadija Sissoko were crowned as Prom King and Queen. Seniors Cade Conelias and Olivia Cirillo were crowned as Prom Couple.

Aside from the music and concessions, Dolphins had an opportunity to explore all the exhibits within the aquarium, which included the pool of stingrays.

“I would have never thought I would get a chance to pet a live stingray at prom,” senior Jonathan Del Rosario said.
