Dolphins ride the wave through Grad Walk

Ocean Lakes Class of 2025 had the opportunity to walk the halls of their past elementary schools to show their gratitude and excitement for graduation.

“It was really cool going back to my elementary school. I got to see some of my old teachers who were clapping and cheering for all the seniors,” senior Maddi Fisher said.

Students from the elementary schools lined the halls to congratulate the seniors. The students clapped, cheered and made signs the seniors.

Grad walks took place on Thursday June 5 and Friday June 6, 2025. Students went to many schools. Ocean Lakes and Corporate Landing Elementary School were the most popular.

Larissa Almendras is a junior, second-year journalist and the photography editor for The Current. She takes pictures for Ocean Lakes sports outside of journalism which she really enjoys. In her free time she enjoys baking, hanging out with friends and watching movies. She hopes to continue her photography career in college and become a  history teacher.
