With over half of the season remaining, field hockey looks to make a comeback.
Although the Dolphins have begun their season with a record of 3-6 and a competitive out-of-conference schedule, they expect to pull off multiple wins in their upcoming games.
“Even though we’ve had some pretty heavy duty games at the start of this season, I am excited to see how we perform in the Beach district,” senior Reese Longwater said.
Furthermore, their recent wins over Tallwood on Sept. 19, 2025, and Princess Anne on Sept. 30, 2025, will help the team gain momentum for their upcoming games.
The team will work hard on both fundamentals and team chemistry to ensure success in the following weeks.
“My hope for the team is that we can better work together on communication and uplifting one another in order to be better on and off the field,” junior Grace Kinley said.
The Dolphins are led by captains Reese, senior Bella Rivers and junior Rylie Dillon. These girls each lead the team in unique ways which are vital to the team’s success.
“Bella can always give the best advice on how to be better on the field, while Reese helps us to lock in,” Grace said. “On the other hand, Rylie never fails to get us all hyped up and excited to play.”
Their next game will be against Cox on Oct. 7, 2025, at Ocean Lakes High School.
