More than 100 college representatives are set to gather at the Convention Center for Virginia Beach City Public School’s annual College Night on Oct. 28, 2025.
Starting at 5 p.m., middle and high school students will be welcomed into the building to explore their options and get answers to their questions. Attendees who are curious about the characteristics of a school can actively converse with spokespeople from their desired university.
“Committing to a college is a big decision for the future; knowing about the tuition, student life, dorms and offered classes is key to choosing your university,” junior class treasurer Nidhi Aleti said.
Prestigious colleges that will join the night at the Convention Center include Princeton, University of Virginia, William & Mary, University of Florida, Virginia Tech and Penn State University. In previous years, each program had a designated booth where students can discover what they offer.
“[College Night] feels like a great wealth of knowledge as well as an opportunity to speak with someone from the school,” senior class sponsor Miranda Blaser said. “You would also be able to compare and contrast schools right then and there as you learn the information.”
Additionally, from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., families are invited to attend a financial aid seminar in Suite 5 of the convention center. Any specific lingering questions students may have regarding financial aid can be answered in this seminar.
“All students should 100 percent go to College Night,” junior class president Stone Wagner said. “The night is not only fun, but is really informative and helpful in planning what you are going to do in the future.”
