The indoor track team competed in their States competition last weekend at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton. The men’s track team broke the school record for the 4×800 relay with a time of seven minutes and fifty-two seconds. Senior Brent Bailey leaned for the win in both the 1000 meter and 1600 meter. On the girls team, Sophomore Meredith King received all state honors in the 1000 meter and placed sixth. The girls team, comprised of Meredith King, junior Savannah Bowers and seniors Lauren Nery and Natalie Kubicki, broke their 4×800 personal record by 14 seconds and came ninth place at nine minutes and forty-six seconds.
