Last week Ocean Lakes High School graduates walked the halls of Corporate Landing and Ocean Lakes Elementary in hopes to encourage the youngsters to stay the course to graduation.

“It was the first time for the Grad Walk. We had a lot of fun at Ocean Lakes Elementary and Corporate Landing Elementary. Seventy four Ocean Lakes High School students participated,” said Dr. Claire LeBlanc, who also attended.

According to LeBlanc, students and teachers at the elementary schools were excited – lining the halls with banners and streamers.

They played the music, “Pomp and Circumstance and Celebrate,” she said, while graduates traveled the halls, high fiving elementary students.

“The fifth graders at Ocean Lakes Elementary joined the parade. It was AWESOME,” said LeBlanc.
