During summer conditioning and tryouts, students were introduced to new field hockey coach Amanda Newcomb.

“Coach Newcomb has challenged us and has taken the team to a new level by testing us as a team and as family,” said senior Jen Zellers.

Tryouts were held from July 30 to August 3 but extended to August 7. Fifteen girls were selected for junior varsity and fifteen girls for varsity.

The new coach continued the annual rent-a-field-hockey-player fundraiser this week as teachers set up classrooms.
