On Saturday, Ocean Lakes cross country boys and girls took home first place in the Southeastern District Invitational meet in Chesapeake. Senior Tyler Lipps placed first and senior Will Spollen placed third. Being the first race of the year, the team still has a long season ahead.

The team also placed second in RVA relays, according to Tyler.

“I have high hopes for the rest of the season,” said Tyler.
