Varsity Football holds on to beat Landstown in a nail-biter

Ocean Lakes defeated Landstown with the low score of 10-6.

The Dolphins scored first when senior Shawn Hamilton kicked a field goal to bring the score to 3-0.  

Later in the half, Landstown scored their only points when Carlton Winston ran the ball for a 56 yard touchdown. The extra point was missed after.

In the third quarter, quarterback Xander Jedlick ran the ball in for a touchdown and Shawn Hamilton’s extra point was good, making the score 10-6.

Ocean Lakes’s defense was able to keep the Eagles from scoring for the rest of the game, ending Landstown’s undefeated record.

The Dolphins now hold a record of 7-0. They’re also ranked number one in the South Hampton Roads according to 757Teamz.

With another win on Friday, Oct. 5, against Green Run and a score 0f 42-0, varsity plays their next game home against Bayside at 7:00 p.m.
