Both Chamber and Symphonic Strings earned straight 1’s, otherwise known as superior ratings.

Both orchestras traveled to Booker T. Washington high school to perform one warm-up piece and two rhythmic pieces. Symphonic Strings went as a grade 5, while Chamber went as a grade 6.

“Well, I was beyond joyful because of the fact that everyone worked so hard, and that the judges pointed out that our playing was expressive and exceptional sounding, and the biggest treat was being able to tell all the students that they have been able to accomplish such an amazing feat,” said orchestra director Karey Sitzler.
