Denial.

Many people who are informed that they are no longer a Libra, Aquarius, or whichever horoscope they have identified with their entire lives, feel denial as they are informed that their sign has changed due to the recognition of a thirteenth zodiac sign.

“I don’t care about the stupid change,” said sophomore Kaitlyn Lyons. “I’m still a Scorpio.”

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that there is a thirteenth zodiac sign between Scorpius and Sagittarius, known as Ophiuchus, according to Barbara Hollingsworth of CNS News.

“We didn’t change any zodiac signs,” said a NASA representative in an interview with CNS. “We just did the math.”

NASA states that the Babylonians used only 12 of the 13 zodiac constellations in order to line up with the 12 months of their calendar, but people are now recognizing the thirteenth constellation that the Babylonians ignored.

Many have begun to talk about a change in the horoscopes, but many dispute the change. Regardless of the arguments against the change, there are 13 zodiac constellations which means, technically, there are 13 zodiac signs.

“The change is stupid. I’m not a Libra,” said Kaitlyn. “It’s all made up anyways, I’m not changing.”
