Ocean Lakes participated in National Signing Day by hosting its own signing ceremony. A total of 17 student-athletes were recognized for committing to different colleges on Feb. 5 in the library.

Principal Dr. Claire Le Blanc started the ceremony by giving a speech, followed by social studies teacher Morgan Latimer. The seniors then signed and were given an opportunity to briefly say “thank you” to coaches and parents.

“Playing sports in college is a privilege and a honor,” said Latimer. “Never take it for granted.”
