Senior Britanie Rivera, of the role Beatrice Wiggins, rehearses her lines during a recent run-through of the production.

Ocean Lakes Theatre Company began rehearsals for their fall production of the murder mystery comedy, “The Potman Spoke Sooth”, written by David Fulk which will be directed by sophomore Caitlin Harrison.

Auditions took place over Zoom in October and virtual rehearsals progressed since then with the lead roles taken on by senior Cameron Carter as Colonel Winthrop Wiggins, senior Britanie Rivera as Beatrice Wiggins, senior Morgan Fine as Sergeant Gallagher, and junior Matthew Heilig as Miles.

“We had planned to start in-person rehearsals, but then we were remote once again,” said theatre company director Claude Blanchard. “Anyway, the plan is to use this show as our VHSL One-Act Play due to the pandemic/ all virtual competition this year.”
