Ocean Lakes baseball will begin their season on April 27.

Varsity baseball will return this spring after their season was cancelled in 2020. The 10-game season kicks off on April 27 with an away game against Cox.

“I am most looking forward to getting back on the field with all of my teammates and finally being able to compete for a state championship title. Missing my season last year really taught me not to take anything for granted,” said senior Aidan Pinto.

This will be the first season since the team’s run at a state championship in 2019.

“Looking forward to a great season; two years ago we lost a nail-biter in the state semi’s, 9-7, almost a comeback for the ages,” said head coach Peter Zell.

So far, four seniors have committed to play at the next level: Aidan Pinto to Randolph-Macon, Carson Demartini to Virginia Tech, Chance Orensby to St. Andrews University, and Alex Sutton to West Virginia Wesleyan.
