Volleyball plays Kellam Knights in a close match

On Monday, September 18, Dolphin boys volleyball played rival Kellam Knights and won in four sets. The close game kept the bleachers crowded and loud.

The scores were 25-15, 22-25, 25-22, and 25-22. Some highlights of the game include 11 kills and four blocks from junior Micah Singer and nine kills from senior Jullian Peji.

Following the boys game, the lady Dolphins played Kellam and lost in three sets. Their loss at States last year against Kellam left Ocean Lakes players wanting redemption, but unfortunately, it was not their night.

The scores were 23-25, 13-25, and 19-25.

“No one was talking. The whole court was silent. I felt like no one really wanted to win,” said junior Logan Zell.

Senior Jullian Peji (20) jump sets to get the ball to the setter.
