Junior Lyric Bruner makes a candy sale to junior Jerri Manuel in class on Thursday, Oct. 5 to raise money for their class.

The class of 2019 will sell candy for $1.00 in the month of October to raise money for class events.

“I love candy because it’s around Halloween time, and it’s my favorite holiday, so I would be happy to buy some candy,” said junior Luke Lamkin.

Students in the junior class will carry bags full of assorted candy, such as, Twizzlers, Starbursts, and Skittles.

“I mean who doesn’t love candy,” said junior Dylan Eakes. “Also, it is a great way to raise money for ring dance, so I don’t have to spend a ton of money for tickets.”

Students can buy candy from class sponsors and special education teachers Barbara Newman and Casey Foster in room 240.

“This fundraiser, along with others such as car washes, will help lower ticket costs for ring dance for the junior class,” said junior Lyric Bruner.
