National Honors Society conducts annual blood drive
This year’s National Honors Society (NHS) has partnered with the Red Cross, again, to hold the annual blood drive.
Donors must meet certain height and weight requirements, along with being in good health. On the day of the drive, Red Cross phlebotomists will go through their medical history and check donors’ blood pressure, temperature, hemoglobin levels and iron.
The donated blood will go to various hospitals around the country.
“The blood drive is a long-running tradition at this school, but it’s been incredibly important in recent years to help alleviate the national blood shortage spurred on by the pandemic,” said senior NHS member Joanna He.
