SCA bondfire sparks new friendships

SCA held its annual bondfire, a night filled with music and bingo while bonding with friends. It took place on Jan. 13, from 4-8 p.m.

“It’s just a really good time for everybody to get together,” said junior SCA member Kaia Jackson. “Everyone can just hang out and do something a little different.”

Throughout the night, students enjoyed the bonfire, hot chocolate, bingo, karaoke and several games, such as spikeball and corn hole. The bonfire and games lasted from 4-6 p.m. and the bingo and karaoke lasted from 6-8 p.m.

“It’s really exciting to spend time with friends by the fire,” said sophomore Myah Lasky. “The fire is really cool. It keeps getting bigger by the minute.”

SCA worked for many weeks to put the event together.

“Our Events Gold Committee spent a great amount of time planning and decorating so that everyone can enjoy the bondfire,” said Kaia.

Students of all grades were invited to participate in this non-academic atmosphere.

“It’s cool to get out of the house and hang out with my friends,” said freshman James Jackson. “The free hot chocolate is pretty nice too.”
