Girls and boys basketball hosts home season opener

Girls basketball defeated the Hickory Hawks 73-11 in their first game of the season. Boys basketball lost to the Hickory Hawks 71-57 in their first home game of the season on November 28, 2017.

Junior Kendle Dalrymple led the team with 24 points with four 3-pointers. Kyla McMakin recorded a triple double with 24 rebounds, 10 passes, and 10 steals.

Boys outscored the Hawks in the first half, but were outscored by the Hawks 40-26 in the second half.

The girls’ next conference game is at Princess Anne H.S. on Friday, December 1 at 5:30 p.m.
