Girls soccer thrives halfway through this season, with only two losses within the Beach District and an overall record of 5-3-2.
The team has persevered against ranked opponents, defeating the No. 6 ranked Western Branch Bruins and forcing a tie against the No. 8 ranked Great Bridge Wildcats, according to 757 teams.
Senior captains Anna Kain-Kuzniewski, Peyton Staub and Kimya Ranjan play a key role in the team’s success through their leadership and multi-year varsity experience, according to freshman Peyton Devold.
In nine games, the team has scored 13 goals, while allowing a total of seven goals from all opposing teams.
“We communicate well both on and off the field, and have a special bond which motivates us to play well every game,” said Peyton.
