Dolphins fall for spirit week

SCA will host its fall spirit week to welcome all staff and students back to the POD.

The week begins with Monochrome Monday, a day to wear one color of clothing. Tuesday follows with Dynamic Duo Day, where students and staff will find a partner in crime and dress as part of a duo. Then, wear mismatched clothes for Wacky Wednesday. Thursday is Grease vs. Greece vs. Greek life where students can dress as a character from the 1978 musical “Grease,” someone from ancient Greek mythology or as a fraternity brother or sorority sister. As tradition goes, Friday brings the popular, “I Love Ocean Lakes Day,” where Fins put on Ocean Lakes’ colors, clothes and accessories to show school spirit during the first all-school spirit assembly, held during the school day.

“Spirit week ignites a shared energy, uniting students through the celebration of what makes them stronger together,” said SCA Vice President Anna Brown.

Marlie Smith is a third-year journalism student and Co Editor-in-Chief for The Current. As a multi-sport athlete, she is inspired by any story involving sports. She enjoys playing soccer and field hockey. Outside of school, she loves going to the beach, spending time with friends and watching Netflix. In the future, she hopes to become a teacher and inspire other people to write more.
