With the 2024-2025 school year soon to be over, new student council (SCA) representatives are just getting to work.
Ocean Lakes students recently voted and elected who they believed would be best to fit the position of SCA president, vice president, treasurer and secretary.
Ocean Lakes’ newest SCA president and vice president are juniors Robinson Chen and Anna Daubenspeck, respectively.
They are taking on this prestigious role from former president and vice president, seniors Khadija Sisoko and Anna Brown.
“I feel like I have to live up to the standard she set, and I have a lot of work to do to keep SCA running just as smoothly as she did,” Robinson said.
With the results in for president and vice president, and the other two positions running unopposed going to junior Kegan Hall for secretary and junior Henry Nguyen for treasurer.
“As treasurer, I look forward to increasing transparency with SCA finances and communicating that with our student body,” Henry said.
With these four taking on the tasks to make next school year better than last, they will have to work with new principal Leslie Ittner as well.
“Hopefully us officers can help the new principal understand how important SCA and school events are,” secretary Keagan Hall said.
