This year’s career fair exposed students to new information about internships, job opportunities and industry trends.
“I am glad that I went because I learned many things about internships, which I know is information I will use as a senior,” freshman and academy student Khushi Nookala said.
The fair took place on March 5, 2025, from 8 to 10:25 a.m., inside of the gym. The booths portrayed skills and education required for different careers to the students.
“The career fair definitely gave me lots of useful information about the different occupations,” senior Rowan Powers said.
The event gave the chance to network with professionals, tour different fields and acquire valuable guidance. Exposure is the main goal for every career fair, to get students to think about their goals early on.
¨As a school counselor, I have always believed in giving students early exposure to the many career opportunities available to them,¨ fair organizer and counselor Danetia Wilkins said.
Over 15 different speakers showed up, including local businesses and industry professionals who had booths such as Ocean Breeze, ShoreBreak Pizza, TapHouse and the U.S. Army. Students collaborated in these various career exploration booths to consider career opportunities they have not thought of before.
“This was a great opportunity to begin building their professional skills, make valuable connections, and gain insights into various career paths,” Wilkins said.
