C-Day schedule and additional time makes up snow days

Due to inclement weather, Virginia Beach schools and offices were closed for six days during the month of January. Some students assumed that VBCPS officials would make staff and students attend school on Saturdays or take away spring break; however, school officials created a different option.
They decided that students would make up lost time on Jan. 29, a previous teacher work day, and Feb. 19, Presidents Day for two C-days.
A “C” day is where students attend all their classes on one day, both A and B-day schedules. In addition, 15 minutes will be added to the school day until springtime to make up the time missed.
