Orchestra concert performs assessment pieces
Chamber and symphonic strings practice their piece for the upcoming assessment by conductor John Hesser, from Greenbrier Middle School.
“I think we’re in good shape for two weeks prior, and pretty much everybody knows most of their music. It was very exciting,” said orchestra conductor Karey Sitzler.
Hesser enjoyed the performance and added a few key aspects to improve the quality of sound for the whole orchestra.
“Now for the next two weeks, what we’re going to do is slowing things down and cleaning them up so that the precision aspect is better with our pitch and rhythm,” said Sitzler.
