Senior Naadia Stephens traveled to the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT to participate in the Academy Introduction Mission program to get a taste of academy life and gain leadership experience.
“Attending the USCGA AIM Program was such an amazing experience. Only 550 students out of 2000 were chosen to stay in Connecticut for a week to live the life of a Swab (freshman),” said Naadia. “It was nowhere near easy, we were on the go all of the time. The challenges were very stressful, but it taught me how to act under pressure. I left the academy with a new set of values and morals.”
