Middle school students attended an information night to decide their future.

On October 19, each school in the VBCPS district sent students from their academy to a Citywide Information Night at the Virginia Beach Convention Center to show off their advanced studies programs.

“All of the academies in the city were there, including ATC and VoTech and Greenrun Collegiate,” said Allison Graves, Math and Science Academy, or MSA, coordinator. “That way middle-schoolers could make informed decisions about their next steps in high school.”

About ten MSA students in lab coats shared their academy experiences with future MSA candidates and their parents.

“We had a handful of seniors and two sets of parents talk about the academy experience from their perspective,” said Graves. “There were information sessions throughout the evening that parents and students could attend.”
