VHSL class six all-state football teams rosters released

Three on first team, one on second team, and one on both teams from Ocean Lakes.

Senior all-state defensive back and Maryland commit Tayvion Land hugs head coach Joe Jones on senior night at Kellam high school.

Junior offensive lineman Tyler Stephens, senior linebacker Cameron Williams, senior defensive back Tayvion Land, and senior defensive all-purpose Shawn Hamilton were named to first team all-state.

Shawn was also named to second team all-state at the receiver position as he played a multitude of positions for Ocean Lakes.   

Senior defensive lineman Jordan Green was also named to second team all-state.

“I was excited, and it was great to see all of my hard work pay off. I was happy to make Coach Ramey proud,” said Jordan.

The 2018 class six all-state teams were announced on Jan. 7. Each team has 16 spots for offense and 16 spots for defense.

Manchester boasts the most all-state players on the roster with eight on first team and five on second team. The offensive player of the year, defensive player of the year, and coach of the year awards all went to Manchester with senior quarterback Brendon Clark, senior defensive lineman Hakeem Beamon, and coach Tom Hall.
