Faculty celebrated five teachers in the annual Distinguished Teacher Ceremony.

Shirley Hall, Carlin Conaway, Fara Wiles, Jeremy Schratwieser, and Whitney Raffo received flowers and a framed award, and each teacher was presented with a student video that shared personal sentiments about why that teacher has made a difference in the classroom.

“I feel very honored, but I think that there are many others that are far more deserving that go unacknowledged on a daily basis,” said AP Biology teacher Jeremy Schratwieser. “My thoughts are:  you shouldn’t [teach] to look for any return other than the returns that come naturally with students. The most important thing is that you and your students improve and grow together.”
