Girls Volleyball defeated Grassfield at home on Tuesday evening three games to none. The first two sets were quick, resulting in a 25-11 and 25-19 victory.

“We have a group that plays very well together. I’m excited about this season, and I think we have a good chance of winning states,” said junior Paige Fuqua.

Grassfield pulled ahead early in the third set before the Dolphins were able to come back and finish strong, winning 25-17.

“They’ve done an amazing job, we just need to work on finishing the game better,” said head coach Jack Wheeler.

The Dolphins also defeated Green Run on Thursday and will now travel to Kempsville High School on Tuesday, Sept. 24 to face off against the Chiefs at 6 p.m.
