Boys and girls swim defeats Chiefs

Both boys and girls swim defeated Kempsville in their second meet of the season.

Girls finished 192-82 over the Chiefs with individual wins by Braileigh Modica in the 200 free and 100 free and Paige Rooks in the 100 fly and 100 back.

“We had a great meet. Even though a few people were sick, we are really coming together as a team,” said junior swimmer Tabitha Moore.

Boys won 202-82 and had an impressive 200 individual medley relay, falling less than a second short of the team record. Boys individual wins include Seth Anderson with the 200 IM and 100 back, Kendall Ewing with the 100 free and 100 breast, and Bobby DiNunzio with the 200 free and 400 free.

The next meet will be held Jan. 10 away against Bayside at the Bayside Recreation Center.

“So far our season is off to a good start, we have a great team this year, and hopefully we can do something big,” said junior, swimmer Ethan Comeyne.
