Junior starts “Hope for VB Victims” fundraiser
Locals mourn the 12 victims at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center Memorial on July 7.
Jeannie She, a rising junior, started a Gofundme last month to support the families of the 12 victims of the municipal center shooting on May 31. So far, the fundraiser has raised a total of $1,441 out of her $16,000 goal.
Jeannie organized the fundraiser on behalf of United Way of South Hampton Roads.
“We appreciate any amount of financial support you can provide to these families,” said Jeannie.
