Field hockey continues summer workouts in July to prepare for their approaching tryouts and fall season.

Potential players work on strength and endurance and participate in skill drills and scrimmages. Players use the opportunity to hone their skills before the season begins in late August.

“The field hockey team is working hard getting ready for the upcoming season by conditioning three days a week and encompassing weights, running, and field hockey fundamentals,” said junior Lily Heck.

The team is led by new coach, Kristen Vick, and several returning players that hope to continue past successes this season.

“Conditioning is going well; we have had a great turnout and all of the girls are working hard,” said Vick. “It is great to see so many new faces and a lot of returning players are stepping up into leadership roles. I am looking forward to tryouts and beginning our 2019 season.”
